August 15th 2017 Message:

Hello CANN members!

I am hoping everyone is enjoying a healthy, happy and safe summer.

Thank you to the Saskatchewan Chapter of CANN for hosting the 48th Annual AGM and Scientific Sessions. Their commitment to CANN, passion for Neuroscience Nursing and hospitality was appreciated by all! Well done Saskatoon!

Thank you to Aline Bourgoin for spearheading the CANN member survey to ensure your voice was brought to the table on the future of CJNN and AGM voting. The results are on the web under AGM.

Please take the time to review the minutes from the AGM in June that are posted as well as the list of BOD. Thank you to those that have completed their terms: Suzanne Basiuk (Executive), Corbin Lippert and Jean Morrow- conference liasion’s. Maxime Boutin-Caron is temporarily wearing 2 hats as Quebec Councilor and the new CANN Vice President. Welcome to Wendy Cormier, Emily Hart and Cynthia Isenor along with Joan Pacione (another wearer of 2 hats!) who are the Scientific and Program chairs for the upcoming conference in Halifax.

Congratulations to Lynn Joseph of Ottawa on her nomination of a well-deserved Honorary Member. Congratulations Lynn.

Announcing a great opportunity to participate in our Association’s 50th anniversary celebrations!

Our current logo isn’t web page friendly, and an interim design was added when the new website was launched in 2013. It’s time for a logo update generated by members that honours our past and is future ready!

Put your creative ideas to paper/computer and submit by November 1st 2017 to my attention: No special formatting or skill is required!
