Call for Abstracts
You are invited to submit an abstract for the CLAE Scientific Meeting in Winnipeg, Manitoba from September 20 – 22, 2019.
The deadline for submission is May 27, 2019.
The CLAE Scientific Meeting poster session has traditionally been a program highlight. Participants are encouraged to submit their research covering a broad spectrum of topics including clinical, nursing, neuroimaging, neurophysiology, neuropsychology and basic science aspects of epilepsy.
The Canadian Epilepsy Research Initiative (CERI) will be holding a symposium on Friday, Sept 20, 2019, in conjunction with the CLAE 2019 Annual Scientific Meeting. This will take place during the day on Friday before the main CLAE meeting begins. This is an opportunity for epilepsy researchers, both pre-clinical and clinical, to come together to present research findings and discuss possible collaborative projects. We particularly encourage presentations from trainees. Please note that submissions are welcome to be considered for both an oral presentation at the CERI meeting and an oral/poster presentation at the main CLAE meeting. We encourage all attendees of the CERI symposium to stay for the duration of the CLAE Annual Meeting.
In addition to presentations highlighting ongoing epilepsy research, there will also be sessions to discuss how we can bring together the pre-clinical and clinical expertise from across the country to perform multi-center collaborations. This will include an overview of different models, techniques, and areas of interest of Canadian researchers, followed by an open discussion on how best to move forward. We hope to have a wide range of researchers from across the country participating in this event.
When submitting an abstract for the CLAE meeting, please indicate whether you would like it to also be considered for presentation at the CERI meeting. Further details, including a preliminary program and how to register for the CERI Symposium, will be forwarded in the near future. If there are any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
