Manitoba CANN Report May 2011
Happy Spring Everyone from Manitoba
Our small but mighty Manitoba Chapter has been working in earnest to increase our membership. We have done monthly in services on topics that direct care providers had suggested with good turn out and positive responses. We have also worked on increasing our visibility and are hopefully to have some more Manitoba nurses in Vancouver. We are planning on having a fall workshop; the topic has not been finalized at the moment. We are very excited and proud to have two of our members presenting at the Vancouver conference. Well done Janice Nesbitt and Jodi Dusik-Sharpe. We look forward to hearing your presentations on “End of Life Care following an Acute Stroke: The Nurse’s Perspective” and “DPIG – A Pediatric Brain Tumour in an Adult”. We are so blessed to have you in our Manitoba Chapter.
Happy Spring and please send us some “dry” thoughts. I think some of our members are developing webbed feet from all the water that we have here in Manitoba.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in Vancouver.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Cheers
