Mid-Year Report of the Archivist
November 2011
In my June 2011 Annual Report, I said I would be leaving this position after 7 years and turning the Archives over to someone new. However, with all that was happening in our association, the amount of time available to recruit a new Archivist was minimal. So I agreed to stay on until June of 2012. I was given permission to try and do some recruitment of my own and think I may have found the perfect person to replace me.
In the meantime, I have carried on with the usual duties of the Archivist which is mainly to keep records of all CANN business and to update our lists of activities. I have also managed to obtain some long lost photo albums from a previous Archivist. These were from our 14th Annual Meeting in St. John’s in 1983, our 22nd meeting in Halifax in 1991, and our 25th (Silver Anniversary) meeting in St. John’s in 1994. These are now part of our CANN Archives.
